PATRICK CORBIN
A graduate of 15 years in the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Corbin has won critical acclaim for lead performances in some of Mr. Taylor's most famous and traveled pieces. Corbin's background includes School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theater II and the Joffrey II Dancers before joining the Joffrey Ballet. He has been featured in five PBS Great Performances between 1988 and 2004 and the 1998 Academy Award nominated documentary Dancemaker. In 2001 Corbin was the recipient of the NY Performance Award (Bessie) for Sustained Achievement with The Paul Taylor Dance Company.
NATALIE DESCH
Natalie Desch is originally from New Castle, PA, where she began her dance training under the guidance of Deborah Parou. After receiving her BFA and the Martha Hill Prize from the Juilliard School, (Benjamin Harkarvy, director,) she performed with the Limon Dance Company from 1996-2001. Since that time, she has been a member of Doug Varone and Dancers and has additionally danced for Varone at the Metropolitan Opera, Minnesota Opera, Opera Colorado, and the Aquila Theater Company. A Hunter College faculty member since 2005, Desch also teaches at various NYC studio spaces, has taught at the Bates Dance Festival and for the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and conducts master classes around the country. She has staged the works of Varone, Jose Limon, and Jiri Kylian for companies and universities both domestically and abroad. Her choreography has been presented at the Juilliard Theater, Alice Tully Hall, the Clark Studio Theater, SUNY Purchase, the Dumbo Dance Festival, the Green Space Blooms Festival, and at Regional Dance America festivals.
GIADA FERRONE
Giada Matteini Ferrone was born in Florence and is based in New York City. She believes in cultural exchange, artistic expression and in dance as an essential tool in the health of adults and development of children. She is an international Master teacher with an extensive background as Ballet Mistress, choreographer, producer and performer.
Ms. Ferrone has invested the past 10 years in creating her own, unique ballet training program, which combines her early European training with her most recent American experiences. This training program is curriculum based and produces dancers with clean, unaffected technique and strong work ethics. Her choreography has been presented at Purchase University, St. Mark's Church, Hofstra University, Theatre
of the Riverside Church, Rose Theatre at Lincoln Center, Peridance and the Construction Company. Ms. Ferrone is an adjunct dance professor at both Tisch School of the Arts and Hofstra University and guest teaches in Festival and Colleges across Europe.
